Changelog

What shipped, and what it changed.

Brxify list is public — the same way the roadmap is. This page tracks the WordPress plugin. The conversion engine is a separate thing, and it moves faster.

The plugin — versioned, here

The client plugin updates through the normal WordPress updater. Each version below is a real release you can see in Plugins → Installed Plugins.

The engine — continuous, silent

Widget mappings live on our servers. When we improve one, every customer gets it on their next conversion with nothing to install. Reconvert an old page to pick up the improvements.

Reports, leftovers, and a few conversion gaps

Reports skipped templates, the leftover badge hid its list, and some Elementor pages on a Bricks theme flashed then went blank. The plugin update covers those. Mapping improvements land on the next convert — or Reconvert an older page.

Fixed
  • Elementor pages and library templates on a Bricks theme no longer flash then go blank. Visitors see the public page again.
  • Reports now lists converted headers, footers and templates, not only public pages.
  • The leftover badge on the B used to show a count and hide the list. Hover or click it — you get the item and what to do.
Improved
  • Column background images stay visible when Elementor used a solid color plus an image. The color no longer paints over the photo.
  • Absolute images sit in front of decorative spacers.
  • Elementor scroll motion maps to Bricks parallax. Mouse-follow is still leftover — Bricks has no mouse-track. Reconvert an older page to pick this up.

More robust admin dashboard

The four Brxify screens were redrawn on one type scale, spacing system and colour palette — the same one brxify.com uses. Nothing about how conversion works changed; everything about reading it did.

New
  • Export gained a searchable document picker with a type filter and a sticky selection bar, so choosing 40 pages out of 300 is no longer a scroll exercise.
  • Convert merged single and batch conversion into one "choose a source" flow — upload a file, or pick pages that already live on this site.
  • Account now shows your plan, credit meter, this cycle's usage, licence connection state and install facts on one screen.
Improved
  • Reports opens with a five-metric stat strip. View and Open in Bricks are row actions; Reconvert and Revert moved into the row drawer where they can't be hit by accident.
  • The danger zone is collapsed by default.
0.2.29

Previewing a conversion stopped being sticky

Fixed
  • Elementor is the default public view again. The converted view is
    ?brxify_preview=on
on that one URL — no site-wide cookie that quietly follows you around.
  • Switching back now strips leftover Bricks and Elementor preview query arguments instead of leaving them on the URL.
0.2.28

Elementor's atomic global classes come along

Improved
  • Kit packing merges Elementor's
    _elementor_global_classes
into the convert payload, so sites using the newer atomic class system keep that styling through the move.
0.2.26 – 0.2.27

Interface tidying ahead of the redesign

Improved
  • The "what gets exported" list on the Export tab moved to a lighter paper-and-hairline treatment.
  • The Account tab's credit and legal blurb was restyled to match the licence card.
  • The duplicate support banner was removed from the Import tab; Reports keeps the one that matters.
0.2.24 – 0.2.25

Updates stopped hiding behind a cache

Fixed
  • "Check for updates" refetches from
    api.brxify.com
immediately rather than serving an hour-old answer.
  • The update offer is injected after Freemius runs, so the yellow update row in the plugins list is no longer stripped out.
  • Conversions now echo the Elementor version back on both single and batch payloads, which makes version-specific issues diagnosable from a report.
0.2.23

Reconvert, revert, and a punch list you can tick off

The release that made conversions repeatable instead of one-shot.

New
  • Reconvert runs a document again for 1 credit and overwrites only the Bricks result.
  • Revert undoes the Bricks write on a single page. Elementor data is never deleted.
  • A punch list with Mark fixed and Undo, so a long polish pass has somewhere to keep score. Reconverting or reverting clears the marks.
Improved
  • Unsupported widgets stay hidden from visitors; admins see a dashed placeholder marking the spot.
  • The danger zone keeps "Remove all conversions" — and it still never removes an Elementor page, post or template.
0.2.22

A compare toggle on the front end

New
  • A small B marker sits bottom-left on converted pages: hover to compare the public view against the converted one, click for the leftover polish items — unsupported widgets, leftover CSS, conditions.
  • After an in-place conversion, "View public page" is the primary action, because that's the next thing you actually want to do.
  • Reports shows a cutover hint while Elementor is still the active builder.
0.2.20 – 0.2.21

Licensing moved into the Account tab

Improved
  • The tab formerly called Plans became Account, and it's where you paste the licence key. Buying still happens on brxify.com.
  • The plugins list links to Account instead of opening the Freemius activation popup.
  • Reports can copy a support snapshot for tickets — with the licence key deliberately left out.
  • Update checks no longer wait on wordpress.org; they only ask
    api.brxify.com
    .
0.2.17 – 0.2.19

Display conditions and template links survive the move

New
  • Elementor Pro display conditions map to native Bricks conditions — login state, role, page or post, dates, weekday, referrer.
  • Template widgets remap their Elementor IDs to the converted Bricks drafts, whether that's on the same site or inside the same export zip.
Fixed
  • Batch View and Bricks links use page permalinks, so draft pages stopped returning 404.
  • The convert connection timeout was raised, and a failed API call no longer paints a zero credit balance.

Earlier than 0.2.17

Everything before this was the core engine taking shape — core widget mappings, the global kit, breakpoints, template documents, BEM global classes and the report itself. The complete version-by-version history ships inside the plugin, in readme.txt, and is visible from Plugins → View details in any WordPress install.
